About Us

Safe Hands After school Club

Harrietsham Primary School & Lenham Primary School

We care for all our children and want them to have the best time whilst with us. We have fun making pizzas, our children get to create their own healthy snacks, play games, painting and even writing their own plays ! We plan days out with the Rare Breeds Centre at Christmas and so much more. Building camps and making  toasted marsh mallows in our very own woods. Why not come and find out more!

We have now also opened up a after school club at Lenham Primary school!

Breakfast club is available only at Harrietsham Primary school. Drop offs start from 7.30am.

Jo Ward

Play worker

Hi I'm Jo. I joined safe hands in January 2022 as a play worker. I'am a trained hairdresser but have worked with children for the last 6 years, after becoming a mum. I've been lucky to have been a poolside assistant for a swimming school, to working in a local nursery. I've also worked as a teaching assistant at an Autistic school, which I loved.

I enjoy hearing all of the children's stories and discovering where their imagination will take them each day.

Play worker

Hi, my name is Emma. I loved playing educational games and having fun with my young cousin who attended Harrietsham Primary School. I now have a fantastic job that means I still get to play and have fun with the children at Harrietsham even though my cousin is now in year 8 :(

My hobbies include making things at my woodwork club and listening to live music.

I am a listening ear too, if someone is feeling sad I do my best to cheer them up.

I love hearing all about their day too!

Play worker

Hi, I'm Pauline, a mother of three grown up children and a grandmother to one, soon to be two! I have worked in many child care settings for over 30 years and have enjoyed them all. I really love working as a play worker at safe hands after school club helping children to play and do many varied activities.
