Meet Our Staff
Hi I'm Mel, the owner and manager of Safe Hands After School Club, Holiday Club & now the new Breakfast Club.
I have been very lucky and have been caring for children for the last 10 years. I have made lot's of freinds, had loads of adventures and supported children and families on their journeys. I have 5 children of my own, 2 whom have now left home and 3 currently in school. I love building dens, arts and crafts, oh and eating chocolate !
After School Club
We care for all our children and want them to have the best time whilst in our care. We have fun making pizzas, our children get to create their own healthy snacks, play games, painting and even writing their own plays ! We plan days out with the Rare Breeds Centre at Christmas and so much more. Building camps and making toasted marsh mallows in our very own woods. Why not come and find out more and take up our free taster session.
Assistant manager for After School and Breakfast Club
Hello my name is Rhian Lacey and I have worked for the lovely Mel Lawlee for many years.
I am a happy, energetic and caring person. I love interacting with the children and helping them create or hear their imagination flow. At home I like baking and eating biscuits.
I also enjoy going out on adventures exploring new things.
Hi, my name is Jackie. I am a playworker at Safe Hands. I have a daughter that attends Harrietsham School and she is in her last year :(.
I have been a Youth Club Leader and previously been very involved with young people through being a Girls Brigade officer. I most recently helped with the Summer Fun Club here in the village hall. My hobbies are dog walking and horse riding. I have recently got married and had great fun riding a horse to the church !
Playworker & Holiday Club Leader from Oct 2021
Hi, my name is Ellis. I am so excited to be joining Safe Hands!
I have worked in childcare for the last 10 years and it has been the best job ever!
I am always happy and have lots of energy and love to have fun. I cannot wait to meet you all and play lots of games.
Hi, my name is Emma. I loved playing educational games and having fun wth my young cousin who attended Harrietsham Primary School. I now have a fantastic job that means I still get to play and have fun with the children at Harrietsham even though my cousin is now in year 8 :(
My hobbies include making things at my woodwork club and listening to live music.
I am a listening ear too, if someone is feeling sad I do my best to cheer them up.
I love hearing all about their day too!
